All Women Deserve Access to Birth Control

A woman's right to comprehensive health care and contraception is under serious attack in Washington.

The Obama administration recently struck a compromise that ensures every woman has affordable access to often medically necessary contraception, while at the same time respects religious freedom. It was a common sense balance that was endorsed by the Catholic Health Association.

But the radical right-wing wasn't satisfied. While this is the right thing to do for women's health and reproductive freedom, some Republicans in Congress won't rest until they have legislated away women's right to make our own health care decisions.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, the extreme right in Congress is literally silencing women -- keeping them from having any say in the matter. In one recent hearing about contraception, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa wouldn't let a single woman testify.

Tammy Baldwin, long a staunch advocate for women's health care, is standing up to the extremists in Congress who want to roll back the clock on women's rights. Join her today and tell your representative that every woman deserves affordable access to birth control.
All women should have the right to control their own health care, and all women deserve access to affordable, accessible contraception.

We can't turn back the clock on women's rights. Please support the Obama administrations decision to require insurance companies to pay for contraception with no co-pay, because every woman deserves affordable access to birth control.

Sincerely,
