REQUEST OF THE COURT OF BEAUFORT TO REINSTATE AND ENFORCE COURT ORDERS PERMITTING JEFFREY T. BOMBARD

Jeffrey T. Bombard is a parishoneer of St. Gregory the Great Church in Bluffton, South Carolina for the past few years. During this time Jeffrey had the opportunity to share his past addiction with many members of the Church. Jeffrey's mother continues to receive constant support from the Church Community, prayers, novenas etc. for Jeffrey and his recovery. Jeffrey has been clean of all substance abuse since November of 2013. He continues to live in Sumter South Carolina where he successfully completed a 6 month treatment program. Since graduating from the program, Jeffrey has maintained a relationship with the treatment center as a sponsor for other individuals who are going through this most difficult journey. He continues to attend regular meetings and maintains a friendship with the individuals at the center who brought him to the end of a long drug addiction.
The most important person in Jeffrey's life is his son, Coogan Thomas Bombard and he has tried for over a year to have a relationship with his son, and although the court has ordered visitation, the mother of the child refuses to comply, not only keeping the child from Jeffrey but from his Grandmother (Jeffrey's Mother) whom Coogan has had a deep, intense relationship since his birth 10 years ago, up until the time the child's Mother married over a year ago. The entire family is devastated. Most of all, we are sure this is very harmful for the child. Jeff pays child support and complies with all the court requirements. It was through Jeffrey and his mother that Coogan Bombard was baptized and made his First Communion with the approval of Msgr. Ronald Celleni at St. Gregory the Great Church. The mother had no interest in instilling any faith values on the child, as it was against her belief.
This 10 year old boy has only had the opportunity to hear information given by his mother and her husband and has not had to opportunity to speak or see his father due to the mothers refusal.
We ask your honor, to please allow Coogan to have a intensive, committed, on going relationship with his Father and his fathers family. Jeffrey and his son had always been close to each other and it is heartbreaking to see Jeffrey work so hard at helping others and live a good christian life, and yet be denied what is most important to him - a committed visitation and relationship with his son. We have seen a man who loves his child more than anything in the world and we are asking the court to please hold the mother accountable for compliance with the court order, which she has not done.
Thank you for your attention to this grave injustice being carried out by the mother.
