Petition to End Chimpanzee Research

An estimated 1,300 chimpanzees are currently held in U.S. labs. Chimpanzees who have been imprisoned and experimented on for biomedical research deserve to live out the remainder of their lives with dignity and peace and that is why it is so important to retire them to a permanent sanctuary. Some have been waiting for as long as 40 and 50 years. They have given so much to human's. It is time we do the compassionate thing.

The petition will be delivered to NEAVS- New England Anti Vivisection Society who are calling on congress to end chimpanzee research.

Chimpanzees are humans closest living relative sharing 96% of our DNA. An estimated 1,300 chimpanzees are currently held in U.S. labs.  Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands and others have banned or severely limited research on chimpanzees and other great apes.  It is now time for the U.S. to do the same.

We demand an end to their use in U.S. research and their immediate release into permanent sanctuary.
