Lieberman: Tell McCain to Stop Inciting Hate

Target: Senator Joe Lieberman
Sponsored by: Care2

"Kill him!" shouted one angry supporter at a Palin rally.

"Terrorist!" shouted another at a McCain rally.

These comments were responses to Senator McCain and Governor Palin's attacks on Senator Obama.

Senator McCain's response? Silence all week – and then, unbelievably, defending the supporters who shouted hate speech at the rallies.

As a leader in this country and close friend of John McCain, Joe Lieberman needs to step in and condemn these tactics. He must tell McCain to condemn violent mob-speak, not condone it!

Lieberman is well aware of the consequences of mob violence and hatred in the past. Mob violence led to Kristallnacht; almost a hundred Jews murdered, tens of thousands deported, and hundreds of synagogues burned. And mob violence led to lynchings in the Jim Crow South.

When this election is over, we need a country that can stand together. Ask Senator Lieberman to condemn McCain's hate speech and persuade McCain to put an end to it.

Joe Lieberman, as a leader in the Senate and a close friend of John McCain, you need to step in now. You must tell John McCain, to put America First and stop inciting hate speech. Character attacks in the course of an election are common, but stirring up frenzied hate speech that targets Barack Obama brings politics in this country to an abysmal low.

"Kill Him!" shouted one angry supporter at a Palin rally.
"Terrorist!" shouted another at a McCain gathering.

McCain's response? Silence. And then he defended those who shouted the hate speech at his rallies.

As a leader in our Senate and of the GOP, McCain must put America First -- that means pausing, even for a moment, to condemn violent mob-speak. Yet, his response has been shocking. Sarah Palin's response has been even worse -- encouraging the hate speech at rallies.

You, Joe Lieberman, of all people are well aware of the consequences of mob violence and hatred in the past. Mob violence led to Kristallnacht; almost a hundred Jews murdered, tens of thousands deported, and hundreds of synagogues burned. And mob violence led to lynchings in the Jim Crow South.

When this election is over, we need a country that can stand together. We have come so far tearing down the walls of racism and hatred, please stand up for our country and persuade McCain to take a nobler path.

Tell McCain to stop being a moron. If he picked someone better than Sarah Palin as a running mate he would have done better in the election. She is the worst possible person ever to try to get into the white house. She is far intellectually inferior to George W Bush, her enviromental record is worse than that of the Exxon Valdez, she is as open to listening to other peoples opinions as Adolf Hitler and to put it bluntly, she is an incompetent arrogant bloated sac of decomposing rancid fecal matter.

I am not 'into' politics ..unless it affects a cause I stand up for. But for someone to deliberately incite hate?? And supposed to be one of our 'leaders' here in the US?? THINK ABOUT IT: ISN'T THERE ENOUGH HATE IN THE WORLD ALREADY--DO WE NEED MORE?

When you condone hate, then you are no better than the haters themselves... we all need to set an example where it is needed!!!
