RIGHT NOW, the U.S. Forest Service is deciding whether or not to protect our National Grasslands from oil rigs and off-road vehicles, and they want to hear from YOU! These public (taxpayer-owned) lands include the largest wild areas left in the Prairies of North America. Today, National Grasslands present one of the best opportunities to see the prairie wildlife that so impressed Lewis and Clark on their historic journey nearly 200 years ago.
How often does the government actually ask you for your opinion? Take a minute to tell the Forest Service to give our children a world where the deer and the antelope still play. Send your free official comment today and help save our last wild prairies!
****Comments must be received by January 22nd, 2002 to be included in the Official Record of Public Comments. The U.S. Forest Service will be reviewing comments in order to determine the future of the last American Grasslands****
