Help Repair Lives and Limbs

More than two years after the start of the crisis in Syria, innocent civilians continue to bear the brunt of the violence.

Explosive weapons, including cluster munitions, have been used indiscriminately in civilian areas, and will remain a threat long after the conflict ends. More than 2 million people have already fled the country and 4.25 million are internally displaced. With these numbers growing every day, aid organisations are overwhelmed.

Faced with deadlock in the international community, the UK government has pledged an unprecedented amount of humanitarian aid.

But within this chaos, the most vulnerable people are in danger of being forgotten, and face severe difficulties accessing aid.

Handicap International teams are on the ground in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria providing vital rehabilitation care to injured and disabled refugees and internally displaced people.

Help us make a difference by calling on the UK Department for International Development to make sure that UK aid reaches the thousands of injured and disabled people who are struggling to access the help that they desperately need.

Please support our campaign and make a real difference to the forgotten victims!
Dear Lynne Featherstone, and all UK Ministers for International Development,

The crisis engulfing Syria is spiralling out of control, claiming the lives and limbs of thousands of innocent civilians. Explosive weapons, including banned weapons such as cluster munitions, have been used indiscriminately and will remain a threat long after the conflict ends. More than 2 million people have fled the country and 4.25 million are internally displaced.

Within this chaos, the most vulnerable people are in danger of being forgotten.

I urge the UK Department for International Development to make sure that UK aid reaches the thousands of injured and disabled people affected by the Syria crisis who are struggling to access the humanitarian aid they desperately need.

Sincerely,
