Air Balloons have a negative effect on some residents, domestic pets and livestock. Advanced messages to warn pet owners of potential risks to pets that do not cope well with the stimuli are necessary when preparing those animals most likely to be affected.

When responses to air balloons result in animals or livestock, escaping, breaking of fences, or electric tapes, injuring themselves, barking, howling, climbing, digging to escape and are generally stressed in some way, where unable to focus on commands, and it generally cannot be ruled out that damage can occur due to the stimuli in animals/livestock's environment, please sign.

Reference:   http://mybrainnotes.com/brain-fear-autism.html                   The article describes a dog's encounter with a red hot-air balloon which severely frightened the animal. Subsequently, the dog reacted fearfully to any red, circular object, even the read aerial markers that draw attention to power lines. If language helps humans suppress fear, it is easier to understand why animals do not possess the same ability to suppress fear as people do. Grandin, who has made a career working with animals, asserts: "I do know that once an animal has become traumatized it's impossible to un-traumatize him. Animals never unlearn a bad fear." Grandin and Johnson point out that animals are aware of tiny details in their environments and can become afraid of these tiny details. The authors describe this as "hyper-specific" fear. "It comes from autism research, because autistic people are extremely hyper-specific. You see the trees better than the forest. A lot of times you might not see the forest at all. Just trees, trees, and more trees." The authors point out that animals will react fearfully to any stimulus that resembles, in terms of sensory perception, an initial fearful experience.

Please consider that when doing a google search there are many results for the subject matter that such a search reveals many articles, research of the existence and credibility of an issue where air balloons have been proven to affect residents, domestic animals and livestock. With the increases in tourism it is likely that air balloon operators should be made aware of the problems that can be imposed on residents, domestic animals, livestock and any associated other/s.

Impound fees for known at risk animals, when have escaped are to be paid and under Section 50 (5) of Local Law No.12 (Animal Management) 2013 for example, Gold Coast, QLD provides that the keeper of an animal which has been impounded by Council commits an offence should they refuse or neglect to release such animal by the expiry of the prescribed holding period. Please see State or Territory, some states do not charge fees for impounding known animals, that flee from fireworks, for example. Recommended by BARK.

When animals are impounded due to the consequences that cannot be objectively measured, driven out of their environment if not contained in an enclosure, where are the responsibilities of the air balloon proprieter that such animals may require caging, sedation or other remedies, such as behavioural therapy, with no cessation to the offending balloons impacting on their well being and welfare. What costs would be incurred to achieve the objective to make bomb proof any animal experiencing difficulty with the perceived threat to their survival of the stimuli? Does the pound assess animals for fear of a frequent tourist attraction, air balloons. Does council offer any subsidies for animals affected by air balloons that are fully registered and listed on AAR records, and should there be a register of known animals whom have no vices, as being notified, before hand when air balloons have on occassions driven such animals out of their environment, where council is notified of incident immediately as the first call, when lines are open. Council may be considering permission of departure and landing on council land. Council land often backs onto residences that may or may not house animals.

When balloon operators share a common courtesy to the public from which they make their profits, solutions for issues pertaining to air balloons would have a structure in place to deal with fallout and lives affected by unannounced hot air balloons that disturb neighborhoods, communities and living creatures, both human and non- human. The responsibility to ensure that animals are contained during non- announced air balloon (strikes), is shifting responsibility of a tourist attraction, onto residents and landowners.

The responsibility to pay for behavioural therapists, and invest intensive hours of attempting to rewire natural responses to air balloons, should not fall on the owner of animals/livestock or any other lives such as wildlife, where a herd of zebra, across the continent had taken flight, and were clearly disturbed and disorganised, crossing boundaries, not usually accessed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTCpJxrSzDI

Animals, are divided by species that demonstrate behavioural signs toward the stimuli, and part of the particular species survival., in animals due to their survival being autonomic. The fight or flight response is any animals survival mode.

The autonomic nervous system controls a number of body systems including the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. When the system is activated, the body increases respiratory and heart rates, increases mental alertness and decrease digestive activity so that the blood may be used in skeletal and muscle tissue for quick movement and defense. The fight response occurs when the animal turns to take on the aggressor. The flight response occurs when the animal flees from and escapes the aggressor.

Owners of such animals, including large land owners, should not have their animals or stock, placed at risk of harm through natural automatic responses, that are wired into the species for their survival. Owners should not be penalised for (but for) the unnatural event occurring, some on a very regular basis in some neighborhoods, zones, residents would be better equipped, as in natural events, such as weather forecasts, sites and media that announce fireworks, or parades. Announcements cannot be made due to the factor that air balloons have no direct direction and are directed by the wind. Helium balloons, travel far and wide due to the wind, this sums up the potential for air balloons to travel vast and wide, across boundaries that occupy residents and their animals. Balloons in general, have been placed in the dark ages, where the effects on marine life, wildlife, birds are as vast as balloons the balloons taken out to sea. When giant balloons are the cause of direct stress, to residents and their animals, solutions must be found before a hyperthetical herd of prized livestock, runs through fences and onto residential or rural, roads potentially and without evidence to state this could not be a possible, the area needs to be throughly looked at in depth.

THIS petition is asking all relevant, to closely examine ramifications of air balloons and urges that this matter be clarified to the clear understanding of the rights of residents, neigbourhoods, community, states, territories. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE.......THANK YOU.
