Let the EPA Do Its Job to Cut Global Warming Emissions
So far, the Senate has failed to pass comprehensive climate and energy legislation. Now, some senators, with the backing of the coal, oil, and electric utility industries, are attempting to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from cutting global warming emissions under the Clean Air Act.
Given the Senate's inaction on this issue, the EPA must retain its ability to limit heat-trapping emissions in order to protect the public's health and ensure that we avert the most catastrophic effects of global warming. The science shows we need climate solutions now. If Congress can't tackle the problem of climate change then we must ensure that the EPA can!
Please write to your senators today and urge them to continue working on climate and energy legislation, and to let the EPA do its job to protect our health and the environment.

The EPA and the National Academy of Sciences have repeatedly confirmed that global warming poses a significant threat to public health. Yet I am hearing that some senators are attempting to delay or block the EPA's authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate global warming emissions. These sorts of attacks are unacceptable.
Please protect our health and the environment by passing comprehensive climate and energy legislation this fall, and opposing any legislation that would delay or block the EPA from reducing global warming emissions.
