Justice for George! Tell President Michael D. Higgins to put a stop to puppy farms in Ireland!

george

This is George. Or rather, it was, before he suddenly dropped dead aged 6 months from a heart attack. He lives on now in the hearts of those who loved him and through the pages of a group of dog lovers and ethical champions who go by the collective name ‘Justice for George’ and are determined to close down forever the sick multi-million pound generating puppy mill where George was born and from where he was shipped, along with thousands of other sick puppies, into the UK and beyond.

‘Justice for George’ was formed when unwitting owners of sick puppies began to investigate why their little pets had such high rates of fleas, ear infections, bowel infections, kennel cough, parvovirus and were, in some cases, tragically dropping dead. They soon found the common link that all of their pets had come from the same unscrupulous trading couple in Stoke on Trent, UK.  Due to a live legal case these nasty people can’t be named, but the cohabiting couple deal in very small Pomeranians or ‘poms and their slick adverts on ‘Freeads’ and elsewhere will reflect this. Oh by the way, the dogs are not pure bred Pomeranians either-trading standards are aware of this additional rip off.

Thanks to huge support this disgusting business is slowly being neutralised, with adverts often being deleted as soon as they are posted and customers slowly becoming aware of exactly how nasty Mr P and Ms P and co really are. The ‘Freeads’ organisation remains stubbornly against removal of the adverts, despite the weight of evidence so please be ultra cautious if browsing those pages.

Sadly though, Mr P and Ms Pevil as they are, are just little cogs in the huge machine which produces these poor animals in their thousands every week. At the hub, in the Republic of Ireland, it is claimed there are hundreds of bitches being constantly impregnated and bearing litter after litter until they literally fall apart. It’s not known what happens to the poor mothers at that point, but we do know that the high incidence of sickness and death in these little puppies is a direct result of massive over-breeding and the shocking conditions at the puppy farm where they are held, often in darkness and isolation, for the first 6 weeks of their lives.

We want to call on the president of the Republic of Ireland to use everything in his power to urgently close down these operations and ensure they can never re-emerge. We are a nation of dog lovers, and dog breeders are essential to ensure that everyone who wants and deserves a puppy can find a healthy and happy breed of preference. There is no need and no place for the likes of Mr P and Ms P to get rich on the back of such animal suffering and the resulting human anguish this causes. Please help us to put pressure on President Michael Higgins to galvanise his government and use the already existing laws to stop this sickness.

Thanks from the heart from all of us at Justice for George

Dear President Higgins,

I'm sure you're aware of the ethically reprehensible dog breeders who are operating throughout the Republic of Ireland. What you may be less familiar with are the miserable conditions in which animals are being kept, and the ordeals they have to undergo in order for these unscrupulous crooks to make their fortunes. You will certainly be ignorant of the heartache and misery caused to humans, when the animals they receive in good faith, become sick and all too often prematurely die, usually in agony, always tragically.

Legislation exists which were it appropriate, and effectively enforced, ought to be sufficient to put a stop to this disgusting situation. However the fact that we still have these crimes being committed is a clear indication that either the legislation isn’t appropriate or it is not being effectively enforced.

We, the undersigned call upon you, as the accountable person for the people of the Republic of Ireland to take whatever measures are necessary to resolve this issue, so that you can guarantee an end to this sickening suffering for the helpless animals and those families who are so deeply affected by their loss.

Yours sincerely
