Tell Gov. Rick Scott to Protect Our Kids From Polluters

We have an obligation to our kids and future generations to protect them from danger. Right now industrial carbon pollution is fueling climate change, which threatens our health, is dangerous to Florida's coral reefs, beaches and tourism, and puts our drinking water at risk.

Coal-fired power plants can dump unlimited amounts of carbon pollution into the air we breathe, and they are the single largest source of this dangerous pollution in the US. But while we limit how much arsenic, lead and mercury power plants emit, there are no such limits for carbon pollution. That's why I support the Environmental Protection Agency's plans to set the first-ever standards that will limit the carbon pollution from power plants.

It's time we put a clean power plan in place for Florida that cleans up dirty coal fired power plants, helps our homes and businesses be more energy efficient, and invests in clean solar power to create more jobs right here in Florida.

So Governor Scott: We need protection from pollution. We need the EPA to set strong limits on industrial carbon pollution from dirty power plants, promote investment in energy efficiency, and lead the Sunshine State to a bright solar future. What's your plan?
