Books for people in the Prison System

In order for the people that are in prison to better themselves and become responsible productive citizens upon release, we need to get them educated and there is not enough of a driving force behind this because of the stigma that these people don't deserve it. I would like to see more help coming in to offer the ones that want to better themselves an opportunity to do so. They will be exposed to more than the culture and environment that brought them there, and by getting a glimpse of something outside of the world that brought them there, they can learn and be able to offer help to others before they get involved in the system.
To everyone who has a loved one in the prison system, you know how hard it is for them to not be there with you. In an effort to help them, please sign this petition to get more books into the prisons. Education is key to producing a more informed and productive citizen. The ones who want to be able to get books to read, will be able to, which in term will allow them to see a view from another perspective. We all need help...maybe this will get their attention and they can change their lives for the better.
