a way to collect signatures in favor of a race for the pandas. a daily click that would benefit so many pandas,create more corridors,assist zoos and funding for all panda related situations.

Letter in Support of a "Race for Pandas"
The Giant Panda, found only in China, is one of the most endangered animals today. There are less than 1600 left in the world, because they are solely dependent on bamboo as their food source. The Red Panda (found in China, Nepal, Laos etc.) is also rare and continues to decline. It has already become extinct in four of the seven Chinese provinces in which it was previously found. The major threats to Giant and Red Pandas are loss and fragmentation of habitat due to deforestation and the resulting loss of bamboo. I believe that Care2 community can support the preservation of Pandas population, especially the Giant Pandas, by "click-to-donate" daily action. Together we will be able to gather more money and most importantly, in a long term while individually we are only able to donate small amounts of money occasionally. There are many people here willing to help and ready to take this action, if only Care2 make it possible.
