In reality, pit bulls are smart and they behave as they're trained. In fact, pit bulls were once called "nanny dogs" because they were so good with children!

Now, due to these negative perceptions, some communities are enforcing "breed specific legislation" that bans the breed from that area, discriminating against pit bulls and thwarting the adoption of pit bulls that need homes.
