Opposition to a proposed Wal-Mart Development
Citizens for a Better IGH opposes a proposed Wal-Mart at the corner of Cahill Avenue and Concord Blvd. While IGH needs more retail, restaurants, office space, and other venues, a singular warehouse-style building is not an appropriate use for the Concord/Cahill site.

I bitterly oppose Walmart because of the destructive nature this megamonster wreaks upon small businesses. If your are truly farsighted you will see that it is in the best interest for Concord to cease any further notion of opening up a Walmart at the proposed Jones Ranch location when there is one in Martinez 5 minutes away, and yet another in Pittsburg 15 minutes away. Advertizers and marketers make my sprit sick, because they don't focus on anything except how to put a dollar sign on everything and then endlessly promote it to people who don't care for it. I talked to my aunt the other day, and she has been supporting herself by working at a Walgreens in Mesa, AZ for about 10 years. She had told me that her store is threatened by a WAL-MART they are building right next to it!!! How money hungry do you have to be? They are threaening her business and the horrable thing is those corporated family members who own shares of stock in WAL-MART know they are doing it and they don't care, cause they sleep like babies on silk when they go to bed not thinking about how negitive ways of their ignorance effects peoples life and families for that matter. So, I'm doing all I can for my aunt cause she doesn't have a computer, and I'm doing this for all the moral people out in the USA who see that this corporation is a exploitation center, and all they wanna do is centralize everything in the name of convinence, then they have CONTROL and a MONOPOLY over what people wanna choose, their will be no choosing if they centralize all the food, pharmacy, retail goods, and fast-food (I personaly don't care for McDonalds either). I have faith in everyone who is fighting this corporation for the right reasons, and we know they will never get away with using people a slaves and treating them like crap and then getting rich off of it!!! |

One guy will be inside and be on the phone telling the other guy in the parking lot whose coming out and what they look like. just last saturday they raped a woman-and in front of her 3 kids. they've also been targeting black females for some reason also. i have kids, but do i have to start carrying a concealed handgun to ensure that my kids will have a mom when she goes to wal-mart. i just wouldn't shop there anymore if they let it continue with action. i am no longer a walmart customer as of now. | |
