I am requesting to substitute my SAP/ERP experience and Graduate SAP certification in place of the GMAT/GRE for the Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management program.

Lynn Hanson, Director of Graduate Programs in Business.

I have approximately six years SAP ERP systems implementation experience in techno-functional roles configuring, designing and training in SAP FI/CO, Funds Management, Terminal Management Systems (TMS) and Supply Chain Management with integration to Sales & Distribution (S&D), Project System (PS) and Production Planning (PP). I have four additional years of experience working with ERP systems as a super user (soldier /Officer) while serving in the Military. My knowledge on the functionality and integration of Funds Management and Logistics increased substantially while working for the U.S. Government as a Government Civil Servant (GS-13) employed with the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). Here is a brief background on the two organizations. GFEBS develops, acquires, integrates, deploys and sustains enterprise-wide financial and procurement management capabilities to support Army’s current and future mission. GCSS-Army is an SAP based automated logistics ERP system being fielded throughout the US Army. With a MLSCM degree, I will have the opportunity to better support the US Army’s Logistic mission and assist in providing seamless support to the soldiers domestic and abroad.

I enrolled at Georgia Southern University Fall 2014 graduate-level ERP Certificate program. All courses were delivered fully online. After completion of my courses, I passed the SAP TERP 10 certification exam in August 2015. As a result, I am listed in SAP’s database of certified business practitioners. As a proud Military Veteran, I poses the discipline and fortitude to balance my time and dedicate the man-hours needed to fulfill the MLSCM requirements.

In conclusion, if selected to enter the program, I will leverage the education received from Georgia College & State University to advance my career opportunities and to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

This petition is to request the substitution of my SAP/ERP experience and Graduate SAP certification in place of the GMAT/GRE for the Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management program.
