This is a petition to all congregation members of the International Society for Krsna Conciousness to finally enforce the elections of the GBC, as ordered by Srila Prabhupada:

"In the succeeding years the GBC will be elected by a vote of all Temple presidents who will vote for 8 from a ballot of all Temple presidents, which may also include any secretary who is in charge of a temple. Those 8 with the greatest number of votes will be members for the next term of GBC. Srila Prabhupada will choose to retain four commisioners. In the event of Srila Prabhupada's absence, the retiring members will decide which four remain.."

I was unware of Guru issue untill I came in touch with GBC devotee. You can observe one thing whenever you meet any GBC group devotee they would ask first question, who is your Guru Maharaj. They are still confused that Srila Prabhupada is Guru Maharaj of entire ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada several time mentioned in that he will remain with this disciples in two ways either by vapu or vani. He has also explained the importance of both. Srila Prabhupada's instructions are very clear that next 10000 years no body else can become Guru other than Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada also explained the importance of Guru in his lectures. Guru should take all his disciple's sins and purify him or her. Srila Prabhupada is still living in his instruction.His followers are living with him. Let there be only one Guru Srila Prabhupada. Everyone of us strictly follow his instructions. !! But recently i come to know all bout the Guru issues and with association of some real devotees i became active again doing nicely sadhana daily reading chanting and distributing books also. It is not enough that the GBC has stated that Srila Prabhupada changed His mind about the DOM. Changing His mind about something of this nature was not Srila Prabhupada's normal behaviour. His purports were spoken spontaneously as were His instructions. The fact that there are "anoymous" devotee's on this list speaks 1000's words about the present state of this organization. Let us become one again although some say, not posible without Srila Prabhupada present. Dandavats and hats off, to all the Krishna conscious devottee's who have shown by example how to be krishna conscious in their own ways without need of position,prestige,and other material presents,though that may have come. They are the good examples of God brothers and sisters in this hare krsna movement of selfless service . They are the real disciples of ACBS Srila Prabhupada ..They have shown that they do not simply want control and that they simply want to serve Srila Prabhupada and spread Krsna consciousness..Thank God for them ..They are the real inspirations in this krsna conscious movement . There are those who signed their names, those who signed as anoymous, those who agree but won't sign either way perhaps out of hopelessness, or lethargy,and those who have not heard about this. Though some devotee's and people will beleive anything,and some who will do anything for material gain, with these two parties lots of damage has and can be acomplished . Lets change this if we can .. |

But in course of time the succession was broken, and therefore the science as it is appears to be lost. PURPORT It is clearly stated that the Gita was especially meant for the saintly kings because they were to execute its purpose in ruling over the citizens. Certainly Bhagavad-gita was never meant for the demonic persons, who would dissipate its value for no one's benefit and would devise all types of interpretations according to personal whims. There are innumerable interpretations rendered by different mundane scholars, but almost all of them do not accept the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, although they make a good business on the words of Sri Krishna. As far I am concerned, Srila Prabhupada would be appalled by this attempt to centralize control of the Krishna Consciousness Movement. It is totally alien to all Srila Prabhupada taught throughout the duration of his work. There is nothing in Srila Prabhupada lectures, books, letters, or legal direction to support this centralization of authority. To the contrary, Srila Prabhupada adamently oppossed all efforts at such centralization, and at one point wrote the temple presidents to IGNORE all direction from the GBC. |
