Sign the Decoda Literacy Manifesto - Our New Definition of Literacy

Why support literacy? Literacy skills are important to all British Columbians in order to succeed in the modern world.

Literacy is no longer simply the ability to read and write—Literacy is Life.

Despite its essential role in life, 40 per cent of B.C. adults do not have the literacy skills necessary to read a newspaper, fill out a work application form, read a map, or understand a residential lease—and this percentage is increasing.

Sign the Decoda Literacy Manifesto today to show your support for literacy and learning in British Columbia. Together, we can support children and families, adult learners, and Aboriginal and immigrant communities in an effort to build strong individuals, strong families and strong communities.

Your support will provide resources, training and funds to support community-based literacy programs and initiatives in over 400 communities across the province.
