Don't Let Winter Storms Leave New York's Frail Aged Alone and Hungry

As harsh winter weather continues to hit New York, most of us are stocking up on hearty meals and hunkering down at home. However, for some of our most vulnerable neighbors—the homebound elderly—winter storms are much worse than icy roads and snowy sidewalks.

For older New Yorkers, inclement weather can mean increased isolation and even more difficulty getting the nutritious meals they need.

This winter, Citymeals has provided tens of thousands of shelf-stable meals in addition to our regular meal deliveries to ensure the city’s frail aged have enough food on hand to get them through whatever winter storms come our way.

But they can't do it alone.

Add your name today and help spread the word about the difficulties homebound elderly New Yorkers face every day and the vital work Citymeals does to keep them safe and nourished!
