Help Make It Easier for Every Eligible Californian to Vote

  • by: iVote CA

More than 7 million eligible Californians aren’t registered to vote, and are prevented from participating in elections. Our democracy would be more representative, responsive and stronger if everyone voted.

What if every eligible Californian was automatically registered to vote when they turned 18?

A new Automatic Voter Registration bill, the California New Motor Voter Act (AB 1461), championed by Secretary of State Alex Padilla, would do just that and bring those 7 million Californians into the democratic process by automatically registering every eligible citizen who has a driver's license. This bill would modernize our voting system, and increase turnout by eliminating the burden on individual voters to find out when, where and how to register to vote for each election.

Ask Governor Brown to sign the California New Motor Voter Act today.
