91 Wolves Killed & Counting! Stop the Slaughter!

68 Wolves Killed In Barbaric Aerial Hunt
Governor Murkowski’s reinstatement of aerial wolf hunting in Alaska has already resulted in the the death of too many wolf mothers, fathers and pups! Help stop the slaughter, Sign this petition demanding that Governor Murkowski halt the killing.

Aerial hunting allows private hunters with permits to gun down wolves from helicopters or planes; or run the wolves to exhaustion in the deep snow – then land and shoot these helpless animals!

This practice is barbaric, ruthless, and intolerable. In an effort to mollify disgruntled hunting interests which claim wolves are reducing moose and caribou herds, Murkowski has legalized this reprehensible threat to wolves. But wolves often remove the sick, weak, inferior and old members of caribou and moose herds, which actually strengthens those gene pools over time.

It is time for the Governor to do the right thing - stop the slaughter.

Dear Governor Murkowski,

I am outraged by the barbaric practice of aerial gunning of wolves within your state. The voters of Alaska have twice rejected this awful practice, and as their governor, you should honor their wishes. The wolves of Alaska are national treasures to be cherished by all Americans. Wolves also play an important role in the biodiversity of our wild lands. I demand that you stop this practice immediately.
