It is hard for kids to be away from there dads I can speak for my own they have had a hard time with the absense of thier dad 6 yrs for a drug chrge is so long and with no programs to help children,families, loved ones visits like these will help with the healing of the long absense of the parent!!

We're married; and if we both consent, we should be allowed. Not everyone convicted is guilty! My husband was false accused and the accuser later wrote a letter of confession but it doesn't matter to the system. The system is so corrupted, it needs to change. Even my husband's appellant attorney is against him. I believe in human compassion and it is clearly the choice to each and every family member and inmate if they choose to visit each other. I honestly feel it it important for everyone's well And the relief of emotion bottled up in both the inmate and spouse would greatly calm the tension and stress for both.

Family Visiting Restoration

We, the undersigned, agree that it is cruel and unusual punishment for all children and family members of the incarcerated to be denied family visits based on political reasons. Prior to 1995 all families were allowed to spend quality time with their incarcerated loved ones. Eligibility to the family visiting program should be based on each individual's current behavior and prior records of any incidends during participation in this program. The safety and security of each institution would benefit by providing this incentive for good behavior, while encouraging families to continue their bond. California Families are worth saving!
