| 741 | 11:51 am PDT, Jul 3 | Ms. | Leslie Coggin | Birmingham | United States | The country needs a place where they can remember the horror so that we do not get complacent. The families of those who died and were not recovered need a place to come to grieve. AS LONG AS THERE IS ONE PARTICLE OF ASH THEN THE GROUND IS HOLY AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. | a waterfall..symbolizing the familys tears, the nations tears and the worlds tears. |
| 740 | 8:32 pm PDT, Jul 2 | Mrs. | Joy York-Stenz | Jacksonville | United States | These people should NEVER, EVER, be forgotten. They went to work as many of us did that day and never came home because some insane individuals decided that they were God. They should always be remembered. | Bring back the cross, the sphere, and anyhting else that can be brought back of the towers. We need to have amemorial with these artifacts on site. This will allow generations to come to remember. |

| 737 | 3:02 am PDT, Apr 26 | Ms. | Hattie L Dillard | Rancho Cordova | United States | ||
| 736 | 12:00 pm PDT, Apr 10 | Mr. | Mark David Kaintz | Arnold | United States | I served with NOVA twice after 9/11 helping families of victims lost in the attacks and then with the FDNY and NYPD et al in the pit in February 2002. I've seen the collosal pain that the attack caused and how we as a nation, and as a planet came together in hope afterwards. We should always remember the heroes, known and unknown, and those that died that day. We should also remember the thousands of folks who came to Ground Zero to help in the myriad of ways they did...mostly volunteering, taking their vacation or just plain taking leave without pay, to pitch in. | I'm not keen on the "never forget" motto: it seems to imply revenge. I find that very negative. I propose "remember the heroes, known and unknown, and the shower of help from around the country and around the world". |
| 735 | 8:27 pm PDT, Apr 1 | Ms. | Tamara Johnson | chicago | United States | ||
| 734 | 11:47 am PDT, Mar 14 | Mr. | Bob Roberts | Spring Valley | United States | Because it is the only right thing to do. This is something that should not be forgotten and our generation as well as those that are to fallow should not forget. | |

| 731 | 1:10 pm PST, Dec 14 | Victoria Mary Stong / 9/11FamilyMember&Worker | Long Island City | United States | First of all I want to thank # 730 of this petition,Duane Wilson, for his very kind and heartwarming comment. Duane Wilson's comment is greatly appreciated by my Family and all Families of September 11th. My cousin John Charles Jenkins was one of the people on the first plane that started the whole attack; Flight 11. My name is Ms. Victoria Mary Stong and I endorse saving the World Trade Center artifacts and building a Memorial at Ground Zero. It's critically a part of our history and needs to be incorporated and built to help all of us 9/11 Families and the Country to heal. We are in enough pain and deserve whatever we request to help honor our Family Members and close Friends lost on 9/11. And, with all due respect, IT'S NOT A FAVOR. IT'S OWED! | Incorporate everything you possibly can from the 9/11 Victims and Twin Towers that you possibly can into the new buildings which I pray are the new TWIN TOWERS! Building Twin Towers again is what we all deserve. There is no better alternative. Let the 9/11 Families have their loved ones named in the order THEY want. Not in the way anyone else wants!!~~~~~~~RESPECTFULLY AND SINCERELY, MS. VICTORIA MARY STONG / HUMANITARIAN, 9/11 FAMILY MEMBER, FORMER 1ST RESPONDER & BLDG. # 7 GROUND ZERO VOLUNTEER WORKER 9/11-11/10/01, PEACEMAKER, F.D.N.Y."FLAG LADY"(Check out my N.Y. Times article"Willing To Look Foolish For Fallen Firefighters" on 5/19/03)& CIVIL RIGHTS & COMMUNITY ACTIVIST-WELL SEASONED!~~~~~~~RACISM IS AN INSULT TO GOD!~~~~~~~ | |
| 730 | 1:27 pm PST, Nov 27 | Mr. | Duane Wilson | Stinnett | United States | For those people that got on those planes, they thought that it was just a trip home or a business trip, but it was that trip that took their lives and left many loved one grieving. I personally would have lost an uncle in the World Trade Center. He was in there the day before the attack. I thank God that he made it back home as the attack began. I send out my grievence to all those who losted loved one that day. I also send out my thanks to the many heroes of 9-11. Those brave men and women who risked their lives to rescue their fellow Americans and clear away the rumble. Just because you remove the rumble and rebuild you must remember all those who lost their lives and forever remember them as well as the ones who did the after attack work. | I think it would be an awesome thing to build the memorial. Build a fountain and right in the center of the fountain you make a mini replica of the World Trade Center with the new building built around the memorial. |

| 723 | 6:42 am PDT, Sep 11 | Ms. | P. Brock | Webster City | United States | It is a reminder to those of us who experienced it and will be a visual for the future generations to feel the tragedy. | |
| 722 | 1:29 am PDT, Sep 11 | Mrs. | Dorian Rhodes | Desert Hot Springs | United States | While there should be no question a memorial must exist for that is the triumphant spirit in action, to prove the point & honor the lost, it must be built with whatever artifacts possible! | A park is important both to specifically help accommodate the mourning that will never end & simply help return peace in some small portion. |
| 721 | 6:30 am PDT, Sep 9 | Ms. | bethann kelly | waterbury | United States | because its a part of life we need to remember,and pray everyday,for peace,for a troops,our firefighters,and our police,and all our allies in the world. | |
| 720 | 12:16 am PDT, Aug 13 | Mr. | TIMOTHY J. SANDERS | EL PASO | United States | BUILD A WALL LIKE THE VIET NAM WALL WITH ALL THE NAMES OF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED IN THE WTC. AND THE PASSENGERS ALSO WHO DIED. | |

| 718 | 8:08 pm PDT, Jun 9 | Ms. | Luz E Taboada | El Paso | United States | It's the least we can do to preserve the memory of all those who lost their lives. | I will support anything Lee Ilepi proposes. |

| 716 | 9:33 pm PDT, Apr 29 | Ms. | camille campagna | Bronx | United States | Because they were my customers, and friends, They were everyday hero and heroines trying to pursue their American dream in each of them we are one. When we lost them we lost a part of us. | i like the one in the pictue on the web site, i think we should use the remains and photos to tell the story of loss lives, dreams, the broke hearts of those left to wonder why a senless act was committed |
| 715 | 11:43 am PDT, Apr 20 | Mrs. | Sarah Preslar | Monroe | United States | ||
| 714 | 7:30 pm PDT, Mar 15 | Ms. | Joyce Daino | Douglaston | United States | I'm a survivor & we need to save the Survivor Staircase because it represents hope & the survival of all of those who made it out that day. Also saving all the WTC artifacts is remembering what can never happen again. And we MUST put the names by floor/company & listed alphabetically. | |
| 713 | 2:24 pm PST, Mar 8 | Erin Prais-Hintz | Plover | United States | To preserve the memory of that terrible day will serve to ensure that generations will not forget. My own children were just babies at the time and do not recall exactly what happened now that they are school-aged. It is heartbreaking to have to add a discussion of this, but important that they understand. We as a WORLD will never be the same but we can keep those who paid the ultimate price and continue to pay the ultimate price in our hearts and memories. | I like the ideas that I have seen. The twisted metal does not look scary or vulgar but rather speaks to the frailty of human life. I like the bells and the beautiful crystals. The whole concept is wonderful. I hope that those families most deeply and closely affected would be able to find peace at this site. | |
| 712 | 11:08 am PST, Mar 8 | Barbara and Paul Kirwin | New Rochelle | United States | Anything that was saved from this massive destruction should be preserved for ever so the world will not forget | As long as it has the steel from the original WTC and the names in alphabetical order with rank, age and affiliation who perished that day. That history alone would please us. | |
| 711 | 10:15 pm PST, Mar 1 | Mrs. | Elizabeth Ruby-Cunningham | Fairfax | United States | To represent those that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001 so that we will never forget! | |

| 709 | 9:20 am PST, Feb 12 | Christine Iadeluca | Ballston Spa | United States | |||
| 708 | 8:59 am PST, Jan 7 | Maria Menegos | Philadelphia | United States | 9/11 was a day filled with a deep-set sorrow in our hearts and will always remain so. This day was a result of cultural and religious greed which serves as a mere excuse in the struggle of maintaining world power. Intimidation has achieved the desired result. However, though we must realize that we CANNOT be fully secure, regardless of whether or not we are within our own boundaries, each world citizen must not let him or herself be intimidated by such pathetic acts. Instead, we must proceed with our own struggle to unite ourselves into a mature and tolerant human race where we must hopefully, one day, no longer need to be involved with such trivial matters as to our brothers' and sisters' backgrounds. Where we can lead our lives in peace and only need to focus on leading a happy and prosperous life with one another in harmony. Until then however, there is a lot to be accomplished and changed not only on the part of the supposed "terrorist" but also on our part as well. Here, I do not want to say too much to the matter as I do not want to upset public opinion, but I do tend to agree and side myself with matters proposed by Michael Moore, a very open-minded and yet critical figure in our society. Those who find themselves understanding him will surely understand my point-of-view. A memorial must be endorsed as this is a most vital, not only on behalf of the victims but for the whole nation, as well, not to forget those they so tragically left behind! We all remember to this day the very horror of that day...and all the days thereafter, pertaining to troubling matter. However, let us not just view this memorial as one for only our own epeople, but for the whole human race and especially all those who have most recently died in this present "war against terrorism"! This DOES NOT exclude the opposing forces and the Iraqians or any other group of people who has participated and fallen victim to this war! We are all humans, regardless of color, race, religion and we all have our own loved ones, mothers, fathers, grandparents, wives, husbands, CHILDREN, etc. etc. Let us especially remember and never forget all the world's children that have been victimized. This includes our very own children, but do not forget those of the Iraqians in this case. For imagine you were in their place...would you not dread at the thought of losing your child? They are all the children on someone who feels exactly as we do! Let us not forget ALL the victims regardless of who it may be for if we are not all innocent, then we are all guilty! There are always at least two parties to each argument, fight, or whatever....A memorial is a most critical step in reflection of ALL the lives lost not only in this war but in all preceeding ones and in all the ones to come as well! | What is important is that it clearly represents the concept of world grief on behalf of all the victims of the world. Though it will most certainly focus more on our own people and the very lives that were lost on that day in the WTC, the former must also be reflected upon. Greed is NOT a virtue! | |

| 706 | 4:08 am PST, Dec 16 | T Williams | Pipestone | United States | It was a tragic, horrifying day with thousands of lives ended and thousands more affected & mourn for every life lost. These people were Heros, they were Sacrificed as they were brutally and unknowingly murdered! To NOT make their final resting place, where they perished a Memorial for Ground Zero would be an slap in the face of all people who still feel the pain, the fear and the heart break of that day 9/11. | Simple yet elegant.. Artifacts, pictures, names of all who passed on, beautiful flowers, plants and/or trees.. A grand memorial that would make all those who were sacrificed in this traumatic event of American/WORLD History proud and pleased of our display of memory and love! | |

| 704 | 8:53 am PDT, Oct 15 | Mr. | Michael Corcoran | Houston | United States | It is imparative that we remember those who list thier lives, not only in th World Trade Center, but in the war on terrorism. | A room in the world trade center. A 30 foot statue of an armored elephant in bronze. Beside it, a bronze plaque that says "The staute on this ground stands not as a symbol of worship, but as a symbol of liberty that will endure through our grandchildren and their grandchildren." It is a symbol of our strength and liberty that cannot be taken from us. |

3. Building, out of the surviving iron skeleton, a WTC Memorial Park at Ground Zero in memory of some 3,000 victims of the twin tower disaster
4. Incorporating, on the same site, monuments to pay tribute to the passengers and crew of the four doomed flights, NYFD firefighters, police officers, emergency medical staff, Pentagon victims, the heroes and missing persons’ board
5. Collecting, cataloguing and displaying Ground Zero artifacts in the public, WORLD MEMORIAL Museum

Let this be our contribution to the suffering, losses and despair
…Join together to create beauty and inspiration out of the ashes!
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
