Baby Calves Stolen From Their Mothers and Treated Cruelly - Free Baby Mendes!

Imagine a place where baby calves are taken from their mothers just hours after birth and shipped away to live in cramped, filthy crates with barely enough room to move.
This shocking scenario is a sad reality for the young calves at Mendes Calf Ranch in Tipton, California.
Calves live by themselves in crates so small they can’t even turn around or lie down naturally. They have to contort their bodies simply to move around in the small space, which is often covered with their own excrement.
Land O’Lakes and Challenge Dairy are two of the major dairy producers who use milk from cows who were confined at Mendes Calf Ranch. But you can help Free Baby Mendes – and the up to 12,000 other calves that Mendes confines every day of the year.
These practices are unnecessary, unacceptable and a violation of state animal cruelty laws!

Consumers are increasingly concerned for animal welfare and rightly so. Please refuse to be associated with the unjustifiable and heartless cruelty being inflicted on animals in the way calves are treated at Mendes. It's disgusting the way farm animals are treated and people would be prosecuted if they treated domestic animals like that. Animals are sentient beings, not meat and milk producing machines. They deserve to be treated with care, compassion and respect. Anything less is not worthy of anyone who calls themself a human being. We are meant to be stewards of creation not ruthlesss exploiters - such behaviour debases humanity as well. Nor do I see a profitable future for companies involved in these practices with the growing disgust amongst consumers. Please listen to what we are saying. Please be a company who shows some integrity and care in this horrible industry.
