Only the first three seasons of "Hunter" were released on DVD. What didn't make it to DVD? The four remaining seasons of the original run, including two-hour movies, and the most recent episodes/movies that began airing in 2003, but were canceled after a few weeks due to the lack of promotion, (in my opinion).
The companies which sold seasons 1-3 have said that there are no plans for release of the remaining episodes.
By contacting Stephen J. Cannell, (Emmy award-winning writer/producer and Chairman of Cannell Studios, and co-creator of "Hunter"), and Starz Home Entertainment (formerly Anchor Bay Entertainment) I believe they may be persuaded into releasing every episode and two-hour movie special of "Hunter".

We, the undersigned, would like to buy the remaining seasons of "Hunter", starring Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer, on DVD.
When seasons 1-3 were released, I bought them immediately. I've heard from other fans and have read articles, which state that the remaining seasons wouldn't be released because not enough sales of the first three seasons were made. In
my opinion, "Hunter" has not received the proper advertisement for DVD sales. I've seen commercials and print ads for many, many other TV shows to be on DVD, but never anything about "Hunter". If there is a way you could get more promotional ads for the show, maybe sales would rise. If people don't know something is there for them, how would they go about buying it?
I feel that lack of advertisement for the (2003) "Hunter" TV movies and episodes within the past four years or so weren't given a fair chance, causing any future episodes to be canceled. It's all about getting the word out. Please reconsider putting the remaining episodes on DVD. If you have to raise the prices in order to do so, then I suppose we have no choice because we are eager to have this fantastic collection. I appreciated the reasonable prices for seasons 1-3, and I do feel very secure in saying that we all would pay a little more for what we want. I can personally say that -
I want all of "Hunter" on DVD.On behalf of those who have signed this petition, I ask that you please reconsider and give the fans what they want.
