Pass the Dignity and Respect Please!

I created this petition to highlight a serious problem in my working environment as an employee with the United States Postal Service. As a seasoned U.S. Navy veteran my experiences inside the Postal Service working environment are lacking in the the dignity and respect departments. Many managers, supervisors and union officials are enaged in promoting a hostile work environment through their actions or inactions in many cases. Specific examples include but are not limited to inappropriate name calling, intentional name misspelling, denying time off, refusing to respond to complaints, bully tactics, and last minute changes to scheduled vacations just for starters. This petition is not limited to signatures from Postal Service employees. It is for anyone! I understand these behaviors go on in many different organizations. If you agree, please sign and pass this petition on to everyone you know before the deadline so that it can be forwarded to the Postmaster General and President of the United States if necessary.
Make no mistake about this! I love moving the mail. I dislike the negative impact on morale around me from disrespectful managers and supervisors on the workroom floor who do not know how to lead, how to evaluate employees, how to recognize teams, rarely meet with employees, and prefer not to listen. I recommend an initial or refresher leader training blitz spearheaded by senior managers or through the use of internal motivational speakers or contracted presenters to physically evaluate our working environment and then conduct seminars to discuss, implement, and review our working conditions with the employees who are the foundation of the company.
