Educate America About Climate Change

A recent Yale survey reveals that only 10 percent of American adults say they are very well informed on global warming. The study also revealed that 75 percent of Americans say they would like to know more.

By educating America about the importance of clean energy principles such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, and green transportation, America takes one of the most important steps towards passing comprehensive clean energy legislation.

Educating America means discussing openly the importance of comprehensive clean energy legislation and what can be done by individuals and businesses to put caps on carbon pollution, set renewable electricity standards, and energy efficiency requirements into federal action.

Tell Obama to hold a Presidential Address about educating America on climate change and global warming.
Dear President Obama,

While most Americans believe that global warming is happening, they don't understand why. A recent Yale survey shows that 75 percent of Americans long for more information about global warming and climate change.

Even the most basic knowledge about global warming is a mystery to the American people. For example, only half of Americans understand that global warming is caused mostly by human activities. America lacks the knowledge it needs to make informed decisions about renewable energy.

I am writing to urge you to hold a Presidential Address educating Americans on the causes and effects of global warming, as well as on ways that individuals and businesses can contribute to reforming America's approach to energy.
