Changing Child Protection Laws

Over time and many years child abuse has grown and keeps growing by the minute in our society.Experience and statistics have shown us that pedophiles, sex offenders, child abusers and murderers are incurable. It is a sexual predisposition, not a treatable psychological condition. It is an emotion and action that occurs in advance that makes these monsters act in a particular way.The United States and our own states must find a way to protect these children from abuse, protect the ones already abused and give something back to them that has been taken from their lives. Help and assist the victims and families that the legal systems have let down for years.I believe that our children have a great deal of trouble telling others about their victimization, and that, later in life, they suffer serious ill-effects from abuse. The victim pays for life, and our legal systems do have the power to be receptive to some type of treatment, and respect for the victims and families. Sometimes closure is never possible but there is an end to the means.

To whom it may concern:This letter is being written for the people of the state of Utah. Its purpose is to speak out for our children and protecting them. We are requesting a change in State and Federal laws regarding child molesters, pedophiles, sex offenders and murderers of these children. Our Child Protection Laws need to be addressed in order for our children to feel safer in their own neighborhoods. It is all about improving children’s lives through advances in law, justice and social services. The rights of all the innocent people victimized are not being protected, because a convicted felon slips  under the radar and sexually assaults, molests, rapes a second or third time, and sometimes murders a child, because the system failed to address the crime or the issue, the first time.We are addressing system failure in the courts and social services resulting in retaliation against any type of child abuse cases whether it is drug related, emotional, physical or mental before it escalates and causes harm or death to a child. We the people are requesting that these predators, and monsters receive the maximum sentence by the law, and that the laws impose harsher penalties against the criminals who have committed these crimes. We are seeking an increase in sentencing for first time offenders so that they may think twice before assaulting a child once more. First time offender: Increase the maximum sentences, impose harsher penalties against these offenders and plea-bargaining should not be allowed.Repeat Offense: Capital Punishment, or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole and again, plea-bargaining should not be allowed in these cases. We need to believe and hope that something will be done; this will help us with our fight to change the Child Protection Laws now!
Please sign my petition, as the bill to increase the maximum sentence has been approved bu the Utah Senate it still needs to be approved by Congress.
