Stop the insanity of holding children accountable as adults. Stop sending children to adult prisons.

As adults, we cannot claim to judge a child as a equal to us in any respects other than life. In the case of Alex and Derek King, they have been used, abused and mistreated as adults they are not. They are children. A crime has been committed, but to commit another in this respect is a complete travesty of the rights of any child.

As citizens of the world, we, the undersigned, do hereby request, Treat our children as children. What the State attorney in Florida did to these boys is almost as comparable as what the convicted felon Child Molestor has done to them as well. Child abuse is illegal and if a state allows it, then the judicial system has failed.

Our children are not adults. We lose sight of what God has taught us when we take away the youth of children and force them into the world of adult situations. All of Florida's children need rehabilitation not adult incarceration that provides no professional, intensive treatment to accomplish what is needed for society and these children, when they are released and expected to be responsible citizens.

In the spirit of Justice and for the victim and father Terry King whose memory has not been served, Please show compassion, common sense and intelligence by commuting the Kings brothers to a Juvenile Rehabilitation Program and remove them from the dangerous and damaging effects of adult prison.
