Stop the hidden horror of tiger tourism

We thought we’d heard everything about the abuse suffered by animals in the entertainment industry. But what authorities found in a recent raid on Thailand’s infamous Tiger Temple sickened us to the core.

The tiny bodies of 40 baby tiger cubs were hidden in a freezer, with 30 more in glass jars.

Over a thousand trinkets containing tiger parts, as well as several tiger skins were also found.

Tiger parts are highly valuable on the black market and trading in them is illegal in Thailand and internationally.

World Animal Protection welcomes the initial steps taken by the Thai Government, committing to investigate all Tiger venues in Thailand and to make improvements in their confiscation centres.

Speak out now!

Join us in demanding:

  • An end to breeding and no more licences for facilities that exploit tigers for entertainment
  • that all tigers suffering in entertainment venues are rehomed at sanctuaries of the highest standard.

Confiscated tigers must never be sold back to the entertainment industry.

We thought we knew all about the 'hidden cruelty' behind wildlife entertainment.

It takes a lot to shock us – but Tiger Temple succeeded.
