Help Ronnie Bring Healthy Exercise to Rural American Indian Communities

Ronnie Godfrey is 14 years old, and he already has a powerful dream for his community in Summit, South Dakota. Ronnie's dream is to create a fitness room at his high school that the whole community can use. "Our idea is not only to teach youth how to use weight equipment effectively, but to also educate adults as well as teach that it is never too late to learn a healthy lifestyle."

Ronnie hopes to provide workout equipment for all members of his community to give them a chance to make healthier lifestyle choices. The project will fill a need in Ronnie's rural community where there is no other facility of this kind.

Running Strong for American Indian Youth believes in the dreams of young American Indians just like Ronnie. The Dreamstarter grant program helps the next generation of American Indian youth make their dreams come true.
