We, the students and faculty of the University of Vermont are dissatisfied with the quality of the food provided on campus, and realizing that Sodexho USA has a legal right to provide dining services to UVM, herby submit this petition. We request that the University work with the local business community to allow for meal points, and not solely CatScratch, to be accepted at local groceries and restaurants. We feel that this would provide needed options for students at the University, foster a stronger relationship between the University and local businesses, and improve the University’s standing in the eyes of prospective students.
