Support quality veterinary care, not care based on profit

Our pets deserve quality veterinary care. Too many vets take  our money, try to inflate bills by adding irrelevant tests or treatment and routinely give inaccurate diagnosis. Support cost effective veterinary treatment, and urge the AVMA to disallow practices that support profit to vets while allowing our pets to suffer without accurate diagnosis.
Do not continue to allow low quality care to pets brought to veterinarians. The definition of low quality care: Vets proclaiming they can treat pets with no knowledge of the illness or knowledge beyond routine care, thus resulting in  thousands of dollars spent by the pet owner without a real or accurate diagnosis. Send them somewhere else if you can't give an accurate diagnosis in a reasonable amount of time with a REASONABLE amount of money being spent. All vets should be up to date on diet and vaccines, and health risks, and able to advise pet owners, NOT just what protocol or sales may profit you. ALL vets should have a willingness to listen to pet owners, and deal with the individual pet, rather than again, deal with their own agenda which expand their profit based on a system.. and all vets should sell "over the counter" medications, which are sold over the counter legally without trying to say the pet owner needs a test or exam in order to do so. Pharmacies do so for humans, vets should not have a problem doing the same.
