PRIME MINISTER TONY ABBOTT SHOULD BAN THE SALE OF CAPSICUM

PRIME MINISTER OF AUSTRALIA

We request that you investigate the dangers of capsaicin in capsicum and increase the taxes on the sale of raw capsicum or capsaicin when used un-prescribed. If necessary, completely ban the sale of raw capsicum. Capsaicin is dangerous to health, unless specifically prescribed by a health professional authorised to do so for particular health conditions.

Currently, the price and availability at Supermarkets and food shops make it only too convenient to be consumed at home and at fast food shops and restaurants. Most people tend to use a mixture of colours to present their products, and to entice their customers (from parents to store owners and cooks,) and when capsicum is conveniently cheap and terribly available, the temptation is even greater.

It is our intention to bring excellent health to our communities and our environments, near and far and to encourage natural immunities within ourselves. Happy and healthy communities make health support systems affordable and therefore, enhance our national tax systems.

Excellent health is a Right, and not a privilege.

An example of the dangers of capsaicin is described in the link below. Capsaicin actually manipulates sensations and brain responses to pain, and therefore interferes with human reflexes. One such example is allergy and breathing capacities.

“… medication is used to treat minor aches and pains of the muscles/joints (e.g., arthritis, backache, sprains). Capsaicin works by decreasing a certain natural substance in your body (substance P) that helps pass pain signals to the brain...."

      http://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-4181/capsaicin-top/details

the site continues to describe side-effects, interactions and precautions of capsaicin.

“Drug interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. This document does not contain all possible drug interactions…”

Thank you for your urgent attention.
