Say NO to Frankenfish Salmon

Wild Atlantic salmon have evolved over millions of years to become the complex organism many of us eat today. But now a Massachusetts company has fiddled with salmon's genetic makeup to make a super fish.

That's right, GMO salmon.

Fish are complicated creatures, leaving room for error that could harm human health or the fish themselves in ways we don't understand.

Like all GMO foods, the salmon have undergone minimal testing. In fact, the FDA is evaluating GMO salmon like an animal that's been treated with drugs, a far cry from the Frankenfish they actually are.

There are too many unknown health risks to people and the salmon to allow GMO fish onto our supermarket shelves. Tell the FDA to reject approval for sale of genetically modified salmon.
Dear [Decision Maker],

I am writing today to urge you to not approve genetically-modified Atlantic sale for sale in U.S. supermarkets.

Fish are incredibly complicated organisms. Altering their genetic makeup could have unintended effects on both the fish itself and human health that we do not understand, could not predict and don't know how to test.

There are too many current unknowns and potential dangers to allow GMO salmon onto American plates. Please reject approval for sale of GMO salmon.
