The American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland's (ACLU-MD) Marriage Fairness Campaign, in partnership with the Marylanders for Marriage Equality coalition, is fighting for the freedom to marry of all Marylanders.

Marriage equality is about allowing all loving, committed couples to make a lifetime commitment to each other and build strong families. People from all walks of life, including gay and lesbian couples, want their children to live in a loving, stable, committed home and be protected under the law.

With the support of Governor O'Malley, the time is now for the Maryland Legislature to do the right thing for Maryland families and extend the freedom to marry to gay and lesbian couples.
