Lets make British parks a place for wildlife and people, growing native herbs, blackberries, apple t

Because of agricultural practices now a days insects and wildlife are becoming threated and are declining at a drastic rate globally. Our coutry sides now are more barren than inner cities because of our gardens, however we need to do more, much more.

Our parks are being wasted as green concrete places as I see them, vast areas of cut grass that supports minimal insect life and indeed doesn't inspire the soul and yearnings of the wild we as individuals are so lacking in our urban jungle life styles. Our parks give us such opportunity for places of escape and beauty.

In the past parks were very civilized because the country was still wild, now the country has become civilized let us bring the wild into our cities, helping nature and our souls. I want to see fruit trees being planted in parks, free for anyone, nut trees, hawthorn trees, gooseberry trees etc lets be creative, planting trees that not only delight the senses but are usefull as well. Let us fence large parts off, that we allow to grow wild, with blackberry's, stinging nettles, fox gloves, borage, wild mint, wild rose and comfrey and all the native herbs that we as a people can pick for our teas and healing properties, but are also fantastic for our native wildlife.

Lets change our parks for the better making them an oasis for nature, while also supplying free food, as well as being full of delighful scents and beautiful to the eye, delighting all the senses at once. Of course keep parts of green concrete or grass to lay the blankets on, for the dogs to play, and frisbee throwing etc. But lets make the rest a delight and playground for nature and our selves.

Please sign and let the government know we want the following changes to our parks.

1) At least 50% or there abouts of all our parks devoted to wildlife, this means native species of herbs, grasses, wild flowers etc, as well as butterfly and bee freindly plants such as buddleia etc

2) These places being fenced off and allowed to grow. Being dog free spaces so that people wishing to pick the herbs etc will not have the problem of standing in do feces  and all the herbs smelling of dog urine.

3) The planting of fruit and nut trees being free for any who so want and desire, being in the ownership of the people.

4) And also the planting of medicinally beneficial trees such as hawthorn, sweet chestnut, birch, elder, oak etc. For peole who don't have access to the country lets bring the country to them, all of us and make our parks a haven of beauty, wildlife, and a medicinal and ediable bounty of health promoting goodies.
