Recently Buddy, an American Pit Bull Terrier, was taken from his family under false pretenses. While Buddy was with 34-year-old William Tod Bowlds he was murdered. Buddy was chained to the back of a pick up truck. Buddy gave all his heart and soul trying to keep up with the truck as he was pulled to his death. The murder left bloody paw prints and marks where the dog was dragged to death.
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
Kentucky Animal Cruelty should be a FELONY
There are eight states left in America that deem animal cruelty as only a misdemeanor. Kentucky, where Buddy was murdered is one of those states.
We are asking the lawmakers of Kentucky to make a change. It is a fact that someone who will harm animals will also harm humans. It is mandatory that the state and local legislators use this horrible incident to enact a change in the law NOW.
We are asking, the commonwealth attorney Jay Wethington, of Utica, Daviess County, Kentucky to enact the harshest misdemeanor punishment allowed in regards to the murder of Buddy by Bowlds.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important. Martin Luther King Jr.
