U.N.: Don't Let the Libyan Government Attack Its Own People

  • by: Global Solutions.org
  • recipient: President Barack Obama, Secretary of Defense Gates, Secretary of State Clinton, and our Congressional representatives
The Libyan people are being attacked by their own government. Already hundreds have been killed and hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee their homes. Their crime? Asking for the same freedom and security we take for granted every day.

In today's interconnected world, we cannot stand by and allow this humanitarian crisis to continue. Citizens for Global Solutions believes that three actions are necessary to live up to our ideals as Americans, as citizens of the world, and as human beings.

*Deployment of U.N. Peacekeepers On the Ground to Protect Libyan Civilians
*Provision of Food, Water, Medicine and Shelter for Displaced People in Libya
*U.N. Sponsored Elections to Bring Democracy and a Legitimate Government

The global community has to step in when the government of a nation will not protect its people. Ask the United States to work through the United Nations to continue protecting the people of Libya from atrocities committed by their own government.
President Barack Obama, Secretary of Defense Gates, Secretary of State Clinton, and our Congressional representatives must work through the United Nations to continue protecting the people of Libya from atrocities committed by their own government.
