RNC: Don't Cover Trump's Legal Fees for Russia Investigation

As the evidence of the Trump campaign's collusion with Russia amplifies, the White House has apparently asked the Republican National Committee to cover Trump and his top aides' legal bills.

We are asking the RNC to finally put their foot down when it comes to the Trumps and refuse to be party to their defense. Not only is Trump a billionaire who can cover his own attorney fees, but if he is in fact guilty of some of the charges being suggested, he deserves to be held accountable, not defended on someone else's dime.

It's time for the RNC to put country ahead of party. Refuse to take ownership of this scandal by declining to pay the administration's attorney fees. If the RNC is ultimately going to want to distance itself from Trump, it would have a harder time accomplishing that after funding his defense.
