Hillsborough County Animal Services (HCAS) in Tampa, FL. is a holding place where they have a very high kill/ slaughter rate of hundreds and thousands of innocent lives of cats and dogs. There are people who try to help, and send out a, 'LAST CALL!!! WILL BE EUTHANIZED AFTER 7PM!!!' message to try to save as many as possible.

The truth is, that many die needlessly and there MUST be some way of becoming a NO kill shelter, adopting a spaying and neutering policy instead of slaughtering NEEDLESSLY.
