REDUCE ATHLETIC FEE AT USC UPSTATE

USC Upstate has a $475 PER SEMESTER fee for athletics hidden in tuition. According to NCAA reports listed on USA Today, the student fee for athletics has gone from $1,043,057 in 2004-2005 to $4,137,131 in 2008-2009. Spending on athletics at Upstate has risen from $2 million in 2005, to $6.6 million in 2009.

The fee at Clemson is $100 a year, while at USC Upstate it is $950 a year. Students that take 5 years to graduate will pay almost $5,000 for sports above what is paid for education.
