Increase Support for Childcare Costs in the UK!

The UK government has announced that parents on low incomes who work less than 16 hours a week, will now be able to claim help with their childcare costs. This is a fantastic result from our last petition.

Our survey showed that parents are paying the equivalent of a mortgage each month for their childcare, having to cut back on essentials like food and going into debt. This is having a big impact on families and the well being of children, as parents struggle to keep the house warm and put food on the table. We must do more to support parents struggling to earn enough to raise their children.

The announcement from the government is good news but some of the poorest parents are still being forced out of work. We are calling on the government to help make work pay by covering 80% of childcare costs.

Please take action now. Sign our petition calling for a further increase in support for childcare costs -- so that even the poorest parents can go to work and provide the essentials for their families.
