STOP South Australian sheep being reloaded onto death ships!

On the 17th of August 2011 a ship called Al Messilah was carrying 67,000 sheep.  They were headed to the Middle East from South Australia to be slaughtered.  However the ship had mechanical difficulties and had to turn back and docked at Port Adelaide.  When the ship docked, our Australian Animal Welfare Organisation RSPCA requested that they be allowed on the boat to inspect the sheep to make sure they were healthy.  They were at first denied access and subsequently needed to apply for a warrant which was granted in order for them to gain access to the ship.  What they reported was horrendous. THREE HUNDRED sheep had already died whilst in Port.  Pictures were also released to the public of the interior of the ship and the images were also horrendous.  The sheep were subjected to cramped conditions where they could barely move and were not able to lay down.  This means, had the Al Messilah not been stranded due to mechinical issues, the Sheep would have been forced to travel travel for 3 weeks in unacceptable and cruel conditions.
On the 19th of August 2011 the sheep were mercifully unloaded from the boat and taken to the nearest feedlot.  Our request is that they do not go back onto a ship for live export.  They have already been through enough stress and fear.  Transporting these sheep again will be another 3 weeks of stress, fear, and possibly more deaths.  Once they get to the Middle East the treatment they face will be even more barbaric.  Brutal death without stunning, which we have recently seen on footage supplied by Animals Australia.
Please sign this petition to let our Government know that the Australian people have had enough of them turning a blind eye to the suffering of these beautiful creatures.  Let them know that its not right to subject these gentle creatures to another voyage that will last 3 weeks, that will cause starvation and disease.  Sheep graze on grass but they are only fed pellets on the trip.  Some will not eat this because its not natural to their diets.  The Government state that 300 deaths are well within the acceptable limits when animals are exported overseas.  Please sign and let the Government know... THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ... and to send these Sheep on another ill-fated voyage is nothing less than cruel and will NOT be tolerated.
Dear Sir,

We, the undersigned, have collected signatures from people that would like the sheep that were stranded in Adelaide to not be reloaded onto a ship again for export to the Middle East.

As you would be aware On the 17th August, 2011, 67,000 Sheep were on the Al Messilah ship bound for the Middle East when the ship suffered mechanical problems and was forced to turn back and dock at Port Adelaide. The sheep had been loaded to set sail on the 9th of August and the sheep were not unloaded fully until the 19th of August and during that time 300 Sheep died. We find that unacceptable even if the SA Farmers Federation dont.

These sheep have already endured a stressful time and we want them to be spared another 3 weeks of travel to the Middle EasT to face what would undoubteldy be a brutal death without stunning. These animals suffer an unbearable journey in cramped conditions where they barely have any room to move or lie down. Why put these sheep through any more undue stress. They have suffered enough already. If they need to be processed then please process them onshore.

Australians are counting on you to make the right decision in regards to this issue.
Thankyou Sir for your time.
