The Australian Constitution doesn't reflect modern-day Australian values. More and more Australians are saying our first people must be properly acknowledged and recognised in our country's founding document. And the majority of Australians agree that updating our Constitution to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples will better reflect who we are as a nation today.
The good news is that Australia's major political parties also support updating our constitution and are currently working on a model for change to put forward to the Australian people at a referendum.
It's time to acknowledge our country's unique heritage and achieve real unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. Sign up to show your support for equality and recognition for ALL Australians, and help spread the word on constitutional change.
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
