Fight Climate Change with a Revolutionary Approach to Solar Energy

Over the past two weeks we've seen marches for climate change around the world. Whether you were there or would like to have been, we are all primed and ready to take action. Now it's time we get to work.

Right now, a nonprofit called RE-volv is working with college students and volunteers around the country to channel the passion of the climate movement into tangible action. These students and volunteers currently have three crowdfunding campaigns going on to bring rooftop solar energy installations to nonprofits in Oakland, Philadelphia, and Scarborough, Maine. You can take action for climate change by supporting these solar campaigns and helping to spread the word. Solar energy will save these nonprofits money on their electric bills, reduce carbon emissions today, and show the world that clean energy solutions are here!

In addition to helping to crowdfund these solar projects, you can also start a solar project in your community! RE-volv's new Solar Champion training program empowers anyone to bring solar energy to a nonprofit in their community.

The best part is, each of these solar projects will help pay for two to three more, through RE-volv's first of its kind revolving fund for solar energy. It's a pretty simple idea. RE-volv raises money through crowdfunding to put solar panels on nonprofit organizations. As the nonprofits pay RE-volv back, donors get to reinvest the money into more solar projects for other nonprofits across the country. It's a pay-it-forward model for solar energy!

The march is the first step. It's what we do after the march that really makes a difference. Take action today! Pledge to support the clean energy solutions we need right here in our communities.
