Zenimax passed on making a game based on Game of Thrones in 2011 and rights to the series appear to have been licensed to multiple developers in that past couple of years but that negotiation needs to be reconsidered.

Fans of both Bethesda and A Song of Ice and Fire have dreamed about a Role Playing Game based in George RR Martin’s Westoros and Essos made by the makers of the kindred fantasy Skyrim that pushed the envelope of virtual worlds.

This dream should become a reality and all parties listed above need to reconsider creating a Song of Ice and Fire role-playing-game developed by Bethesda.  Game of Thrones made fantasy popular to people who weren’t fans of the Genre and Skyrim did the same for people that don’t typically play virtual RPG Games.

The results of these two entities working together could be even bigger than the massively popular Game of Thrones by HBO and bring PC Gaming into a new era of prominence.
