A video showing a South Korean solider mistreating a dog has been recently published on Facebook. The disturbing footage is one minute long; a dog can be seen all tied up as a soldier pursues to use him as a punching bag; he hits the dog without any sort of remorse, as one of his colleagues stands by and does nothing. On the contrary, he seems to be enjoying every second of it, as he can be heard giggling in the back.
At the end of the video, the dog is motionless and does not appear to be alive.
The video has garnished over 14, 000 likes (how can anyone ‘like’ such a video I wonder) and has been shared over 800 times.
Unfortunately, details are scarce. There is no location or possible division from where the soldier might come from. Judging by the quality, it could be an older footage, but, in my view, there is no statute of limitation for such actions. Animal mistreatment is always a red flag, that speaks volumes about a person’s character.
This soldier is a disgrace to his entire country. I am sure that these are not the values that the South Korean army is aiming to promote. This soldier needs to be OUT of the army as soon as possible.

General Kwon Oh-Sung – Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Army. Because animal mistreatment is always a red flag, that speaks volumes about a person’s character, this soldier needs to be OUT of the army as soon as possible and charged the maximum punishment with animal abuse.
