Demand San Antonio City Officials follow State Law, Texas SB 4, which bans sanctuary cities in the state of Texas

Texas Senate Bill 4 (or Texas SB 4) is a bill that effectively bans sanctuary cities in the state of Texas. It was filed on November 15, 2016, and discussed during the regular session of the eighty-fifth Texas Legislature. Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill into law on May 7, 2017. The law was the subject of several legal challenges, though it remains in effect.

City officials were elected to follow the Federal laws of Texas laws not make laws that aid and abet people who have commited a crime. According to Ilona Bray, J.D, www.alllaw.com, "Illegal entry (or "improper entry") to the US carries criminal penalties (fines and jail or prison time), in addition to civil penalties and immigration consequences (deportation and bars from future entry).

City officials should abandon the policy of prohibiting and materially limiting Homeland Security Investigations from enforcing federal immigration laws and not prohibit and materially limit their officers from cooperating with ICE to enforce federal immigration laws.
