Republican state legislatures and governors from swing states such as Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan have passed voter suppression bills that especially target low-income and elderly Americans.
Five million voters may have trouble voting in the 2012 election due to new laws that add unnecessary steps to the voting process in an effort to fight non-existent "voter fraud." Republican Governors around the country are passing I.D. laws that require difficult-to-access photo identification, proof of name-change, or proof of citizenship by birth certificate. That could end up disenfranchising legitimate voters.
It's time we stood up against laws that interfere with voters taking part in our Democracy! Join the call to end voter suppression tactics across America protect the right to vote this November!
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
