Sign this petition to stop child protective services(CPS) from taking children away from people who have not abused their children. CPS is spliting up families, even at birth, because according to stigma and stereotypes, that person has the potential of abusing their child.

My mother has told dcf that and now there trying to threaten her with they can take her grandaugher if she doesnt. dcf destroys more children than they help it is an outrage what my little girl is going threw at two and half years old and all the other children that are missing there parent and dont understand why. Even when this is eventually over who knows what kind of phycological damaga this is gonna cause. I cant imagine what it feels like having thetwo people that our your life and your dependent on just gone for no reason at all, does she think we dont love her anymore? does the think she did something wrong? Does she think we forgot about her? Does she remember what we look like? Does she know we love her and think about her every second and are doing everthing we can to fight these people whodont know whats its like to not be able to kiss and hug your childbefore bed and when they wake up in the morning and kiss there boo-boos and wipe there tears becouse most people that work for dcf dont have children!!! It only takes 30hrs.of classroom training to become a dcf caseworker, I cant beleive they give the power to desroy families to people that are not qualified and have no personal experience with marriage or children but they can judge us when they dont even know what its like to have a spouse ora child. I am amazed at how cps can get away with some of the allegations listed in court documents and the disrespect recieved by cps staff. The court took custodial custody away from me for no reason, split up my two children who love each other dearly, took my daughter out of our crime free community just to place her in a crime filled one, took her away from her church, made up lie after lie about me charging me with crimes I did not commit, fined me for crimes I did not commit, refused to read police reports stating the father was the criminal of these crimes, refused to read my daugther's medical records, and threatened to put me in jail if I spoke at all. They (my daughter's father, the Media Family Court, Judge Maurene Fitzpatrick, and my lawyer Frank Urso are trying to use my daughter as a pawn to get me to move to where her father lives, and not giving me full custody is breaking the laws of the constitution and Judges code of ethics. I don't know what to do. I am so scared of the corrupt things that have been done to me. Please help me get my child back. Her father has abused her in every way for the past 5 years, not to mention abused me and my son also. Why do they let him get away with this? I can only imagine that they are all getting paid off by him. Please help me before this Judge puts me in jail for crimes I don't commit. |

Because they take good families apart and try to destroy them. Brain wash your children. Let them go through abuse in the foster system and tell you that "abuse was not substantiated". Spread your children apart. Make you have to go through all different types of programs multiple times. Because when I finally got my children back they were teenagers and my eldest son was so messed up for awhile he turned to drugs..this from a child that was always an "A" student, very polite and kind and never caused me alot of trouble..an all around good kid. Turned my oldest daughter by corrupting her into a person who has no trust and hates me, doesn't want anything to do with her own family now....all because she has to stay faithful to her foster parents who had her for 4 years. My youngest daughter ..whom is with me...doesn't want anything to do with dcf...i have custody of her for 2 years now and dcf harrasses her at school, shows up at my home unannounced and asks her questions like "is everything going ok at home?" "are you sure?" "you need to see a psychologist because if you don't you will have problems all through your life" ....If that is so she would still have the same problems she had when she was in DCF care...like banging her head...cutting herself...can't think straight because of all the medications they gave to her and last but not least ...the ticks she had so bad because of the medications they gave her...which are now almost diminished since i have her...none of the hallucinations, cutting, banging her head and ect..has happened since I had her...but yet I was such a bad mother....QUIT HARRASSING ME LANETTE GAINES..ALSO AN"Y OTHER SOCIAL WORKER!!!! Adams | Florida | United States | DCF took my first grandaughter away from my daughter from hearsay due to something she used to do in her past, even though they pop drug tested her and she pass the test they took her daughter, while she was working to regain custody of her daughter she became pregnant again, she was getting drug tested every week and only had meds that the doctor prescribed and had the prescription bottles to prove this. Due to a prescription he doctor gave her, and there is proof of that, my grandson was born with opiots in his system, my daughter trusted her doctor, taking the medication she gave her, and DCF came a took my grandson away from her before ever leaving the hospital. Personally I believe it is the doctor they should be going after. She is jumping through hoops for them and passing all their drug test and they still call her a drug addict and user and will not let her have her children. She even agreed to take their classes and whatever she had to do to get her children back and they have done nothing but drag their feet and make excuses and delays to keep her from being able to take the classes and get her children back. This has been going on for a little under 3 years now. I even have to get DCF permission to see my own Grandchild along with being called on Mother's Day by DCF and be interegated over the phone during a holiday. Is this right, fair or legal. Just another case of DCF thinking they are Lord over all who walks the land. |

My ex started contacting DHR when she finally realized I no longer wanted anything to do with her and her kids. It’s a very common practice I was told by the DHR worker. I submitted to the drug test and home visits once a week, nothing ever being found against me. I’ve been a very good parent for 15 years and she told me everything was great. My ex made so many reports to DHR she finally even went as far as to say, after the 5th false report, that I was giving beer to my 15 year old child. Not true and the DHR workers had never seen or noted beer being in my home. I had to hire private investigators to prove she wouldn’t leave us alone. I was being driven crazy by her. My ex, has no evidence of her claims and the police did not believe her nor her child. Just one false report and no DHR report to back her up, she lost custody of another child. I was so grateful! The people I always thought were there to protect me did. Thank you DHR. I don’t feel sorry for single mothers who leach off others. They need to get jobs and help support their kids, not rely on Daddy’s money and the government. DHR talked to the people I know, including my new wife who, along with myself, had been in my ex’s home and came out a winner with me!!!! You see, DHR can do good – it worked for me. | |

Let Innocent People Have Children & Families Without Government Interference
I want Child Protective Services(CPS) to leave stigma and stereotypes alone and to quit saying that a certain type of people will abuse their children, and take children into their custody when no abuse has occurred.
The day that I had my son, CPS took custody of my son because my husband and I have mental illnesses. We are in treatment, but they still think that we have the potential to harm our child. I have joined many clubs online for mothers - because of their mental illness, having a C-Section, being single and weak after giving birth, etc... - who have had children taken away at birth.
It is not fair to assume that these people can't take care of their children. People with mental illnesses have the right to have children and have families. Just because people who have an occasionally messy house, have a disability, go to McDonald’s everyday or have had a troubled past doesn't mean we can't be good parents. Save your money for kids who are being abused, not for ones who have a so-called potential of abusing their children.
